Fundraising News

Amelia Faye, with a little help from her 3 year old son, completed 108 Sun Salutations in under one hour. She made over £600 for our Sangha.  This has bought the carpet for our new Shrine Room.  Amelia is a Friend of the Awakened Heart Sangha.

This was the team that climbed to the top of Snowdon and down again... no train!

Yeshe Palmo is on the left in the red jacket.  She is about to do the Hadrian's Wall walk, raising funds for us again.  I don't think she will mind me sharing with you that she is 76 this year!

 We have had some great fund-raising events so far this year.  AHS members are continuing to hold local events, car-boot sales, coffee evenings, offering to give talks to any group that will listen, on any subject that they feel is remotely interesting or confident about! 

If you would like to "do" something on our behalf we would be deeply grateful.  So please email me gail@ahs.org.uk if you have a good idea that you are happy to do for us. It is never easy asking people for money and these are very challenging times, so rather than just asking you to give money to our sangha ( which is GREAT if you can), I feel better asking you to raise money for our sangha!

We are in the process of putting together a veggie cook-book.  All the recipes have been sent to me from members of the Sangha.  I am hoping that it will be available to buy by Easter.  In the meantime we do have our lovely white china mug with the Sangha logo available at £9.99 inc. postage in the UK. Also a very nice badge of our logo in black for £4.50.  Lama Shenpen has blessed these with a protection blessing.  I will be uploading photos of these soon (I hope!).
